About Me
Welcome to Wellness with Lesa! A little about me, I am Plains Cree from Treaty 6 Territory. I am a wife, mother, auntie, friend and a registered massage therapist specializing in relaxation. My journey into healing began at a very young age, deeply influenced by the teachings and practices of my mother and grandmother. I was just 10 when I experienced my first sweat lodge, an event that opened my eyes and mind to holistic ways of living and healing.
Like many, I found myself in the corporate world, working 9-5 jobs that left me feeling unfulfilled and disconnected from my true purpose. After the birth of my first daughter, I took a leap of faith into the field of massage therapy and I finally discovered my calling. I fell in love with everything about massage—the way it helps heal not just the body, but also the mind and spirit. Following the advice of a mentor, I explored various areas of massage until I found my niche. After working in multiple clinics and experiencing burnout from the demanding schedule, I knew I needed a change to avoid the same burnout I felt in the corporate world.
My journey led me to a spa, where I discovered my passion for facial massage. The incredible benefits it provided to my clients and the remarkable sense of well-being they experienced after each session truly amazed me. However, knowing that the average career span in massage therapy is only 5-8 years, I realized that I needed to make changes to sustain my career and avoid burnout. I created this guide to help other practitioners prevent physical strain by integrating relaxing facial massage into their services.
